Guest Pass

Coatesville Pony Club is set in the heart of Coatesville Village and has facilities that are open to use with friends of the club.

We have an all weather dressage arena, and weather permitting, cross country jumps and show jumping areas. We also have open land for hacking.

Please note our grounds are locked by key so you must have a current member who can let you.

Grounds Rules

 

Whenever riding on these grounds, you are agreeing to observe the following CVPC terms and conditions:

1. Helmets: approved safety standards* riding helmets only to be worn at all times when riding on the grounds.
2. Approved Back Protectors* must be worn for schooling/jumping of any cross country jump. * check with NZPCA website
3. Footwear: purpose made for riding recommended, or with at least with a separate heel. No sneakers/running shoes or gumboots when riding.
4. Supervision: All junior riders under the age of 14 years must have in immediate attendance, a parent or arranged adult whenever riding on CVPC grounds. Riders 14 years to 16 years may ride on the grounds as long as another person 14  years and over present with a charged mobile phone.
5. No cross country jump schooling (any age) with no one else on the grounds. Must have a person 14 years and over with charged mobile phone in immediate attendance.
6. CVPC strongly recommends that if show jump schooling there be other people on the grounds.
7. Observe all ground instructions re: cross country jumps closed, or areas closed off for an upcoming competition or for the winter.
8. Ride with consideration to all others, in a safe manner and with respect to ground conditions.
9. No riding on the grounds during a club working bee without the specific exemption of the Working Bee Co-Ordinator
10. All horse manure needs to be removed immediately from the arena, yards and hard parking area and be placed in bins provided.
11. Horses must have either a bridle or halter on at all times when on the ground. No loose grazing of horses.
12. No jumps to be put in the arena at any time.
13. CVPC observes the NZPCA Code of Conduct and good Horsemanship. Horse Welfare are paramount to the Club, any deviation from this will not be tolerated.
14.  A horse that is being lunged prior to a rally must not have a rider while being lunged. 
15. No riding before Wednesday rally start time
16. CVPC has the right to request the immediate removal from the grounds of any dangerous or unruly horse. Likewise, any rider, associated person or member of the public who behaves in a manner unacceptable for a pony club will be asked to leave the grounds.

CVPC runs under the National Guidelines of the New Zealand Pony Club Association The manifesto of rules and regulations are available on the NZPCA website and forms our constitution. 
Any repeated breach of any of these terms and conditions could, at the discretion of the Club Committee, lead to the termination of your membership.
